East 8 Hold Up - Easy to follow cocktail recipe

Welcome to the very first of ‘Serve of the month’ where our very own George Poxon will be providing easy to follow recipes for some of our most loved cocktails!

To kickstart Serve of the Month, George has decided to go with one of our most popular cocktails; the East 8 Hold Up which has been with us since the very beginning and even boasts it’s own range of merch due to it’s popularity.

To make yourself a fresh and tasty East 8 Hold Up, you will need;

Ingredients:
45ml vodka - (we use Finlandia, but any premium vodka will work just as well)
15ml Aperol
10ml Sugar syrup - (you can make sugar syrup using equal parts sugar and water until dissolved)
5ml passionfruit syrup
20ml fresh pineapple juice
15ml fresh lime juice

To Garnish:
1/2 Passionfruit
Mint Sprig

Equipment:
Cocktail shaker
Jigger
Strainer
Glass (we recommend a rocks glass for this one)

How to:
(Before you start, we recommend placing your chosen glass into the freezer to chill).

1.) Using your jigger, place your ingredients into a cocktail shaker with some cubed ice.

2.) Secure the top and shake until a frost begins to form over the tin (This usually takes about 30 seconds or so).

3.) The next thing you’ll want to do is remove your glassware from the freezer and add some cubed ice.

4.) To prep your garnish, cut a passionfruit in half and pick yourself a fresh mint sprig.

5.) You’re ready to serve! Using your strainer, pour from shaker to glass, place your fresh mint sprig and passionfruit garnish on top and enjoy!

It really is that easy!
